Job Title: Manager - Mobile Applications

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team for design, develop and maintain Sling Media Mobile Client Software products. This includes Slingbox Mobile client software on different mobile platforms and environments.
Education and Experience Required
- B.E and/or M.S / M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science. or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) with 8+ experience in relevant field
- Must have successfully demonstrated track record of leading mid-to-large scale Multimedia / Telecom projects on either one or more of the following mobile platforms/environments: Windows Mobile, Symbian, BREW, J2ME, Palm OS, Linux, etc
- Sound technical knowledge on one or more of the following mobile platform/environments: Windows Mobile, Symbian, BREW, J2ME, Palm OS, Embedded Linux, etc
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking
- Good understanding and knowledge about Mobile Application development and experience working with wireless carriers
- Extensive experience with project management including issues & risk management, people management with track record of on-time/on-budget implementation
- Must be able to lead a team of professionals, both within Sling Media as well as with outside consultants
- Strong sense of process orientation, presentation and analytical Skills
- Collecting input and acting on communications with product definitions team, Technical architect and QA group
- Ability to effectively present information to team members and management
- Excellent Team building, people and management skills
- Exceptional organization skills & attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess the ability to analyze requirements and propose appropriate solutions
- Must be self-starter, proactive and willing to learn & grow with the business
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Additional Experience Desired
- Familiarity with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media Video
- Other useful experience: Television broadcast standards – analog and digital such as NTSC, PAL, etc.
