Key Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of Test Plan and test cases. This includes Functional and Non functional requirement testing and test bed preparation”
- Directly participate in review of specification of multimedia/networking software products for Microsoft Windows platforms.
- Lead team of professionals testing complex software projects.
- Design, develop and document Test plan and test cases.
- Defining and enhancing test strategy for optimum coverage
- Regression, Integration, System testing of various products.
- Regular status updates and communication with management and development team.
- Collecting input and acting on communications with product definitions team and development team to design new test cases
- Team test report review and maintenance.
- Team members training and mentoring.
- Provide input to documentation team to document how to handle different scenarios
Education and Experience Required
- B.E and/or MS/M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science.
- Excellent knowledge of Product testing developed on Microsoft Windows platform
- Automation tool knowledge such as Winrunner/Loadrunner
- Database knowledge is plus.
- 5+ years experience in testing multimedia/networking/ Device driver testing.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading mid scale Microsoft Windows software projects testing.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of successfully developing test plan, test cases, test bed preparation
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform.
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking testing.
- Testing of product developed for Macintosh is a plus
- Excellent problem analysis and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
- Must be able to lead a team of professionals
- Excellent people skills.
Other experience which could be an added advantage
- Familiarity with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media Video.
