Job Title: Senior Networking Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and debug Networking software for digital video products targeting the "Digital Home”
- Responsible for design and implementation of networking layers and various protocols for the embedded streaming systems.
- Responsible for framework design & development for multimedia products
- Institute process methodologies to enable efficient design/development and ensure introduction of "First time right" products
Education and Experience Required
- B.E./M.E. (Electronics or Computer Engineering) with minimum of 3-4 years experience in design and development of real time embedded software for multimedia applications
- Strong C/C++ programming skills with expertise in well structured and documented analysis, design and coding
- Real Time Embedded programming with common RTOS such as ThreadX, VxWorks, WinCE, Embedded Linux among others
- Familiarity with 16/32 bit controllers like MIPS, ARM, and DSPs (TI, ADI) with intimate understanding of hardware and software for real time embedded systems
- Experience in designing/developing/debugging networking protocols: TCP/IP, Socket programming, DNS, DHCP, RTP/RTSP, TFTP, Web server
- Must have done implementation/porting/customization/optimization of networking applications/protocol stacks on any embedded OS/platform
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must work effectively in a team environment with potential to take up lead responsibilities
Other experience which could be an added advantage
- Familiarity with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media Video and JPEG is desirable
- Television broadcast standards – analog and digital such as NTSC, PAL, ATSC, DVB, etc
