There are some exciting new features in the new SlingCatcher Software! Here’s an overview:
- Higher definition video streaming from your Slingbox PRO-HD to SlingCatcher

- New MyMedia features:
- MPEG-1 video files in MyMedia from a USB hard drive.
The files must use the .mpg extension.
- WMV1 codec files can be played back
Now, you can enjoy Windows Media Video v7 files in MyMedia on your SlingCatcher.
- ATSC audio track selection
If you have a Slingbox PRO-HD, you can play ATSC (digitally broadcast) audio tracks. While you’re streaming from the ATSC tuner in the PRO-HD, click OPT, and then select Audio. A list of the available ATSC audio tracks will open. These are usually secondary language tracks.
- SlingCatcher now supports Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices and shared folders
You can now store and playback files from a networked shared drive or folder. You can connect to shared folders from a computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or recent versions of Mac OS X. You can also connect to Network Attached Storage appliances that support the Windows networking protocol. For information on how to do this see the related article below.
- SlingCatcher now adds support for French, Italian, German, and Spanish
You can now view all of the SlingCatcher interface in languages other than English.
